How to use the white balance special effect

Select White Balance... from the Effects menu in the main menu bar.

Steps to use the white balance effect.
  1. Click on the color well in the White Balance window, in the color panel select the color you want to use. The default color is R=245, G=245, B=245.
  2. Bring the main miXscope window to the front by either clicking in the main window or selecting miXscope from the Window menu in the main menu bar.
  3. Select the color in the live video window you want to correct or change with the color you selected in step 1.
  4. When your are finished making your changes, close the White Balance window by clicking OK.
The Reset button will remove all changes and restore the live image to its original colors.

The Cancel button will close the window and restore the live image to its previously set white balance settings.

The OK button will simply close the window.

The White Balance effect can be useful in removing the yellow tint caused by the lamps of the QX3. Depending upon the color you select from the color panel and the color you select in the live image you can get some interesting results.

Note: To disable or completely cancel the White Balance effect select None from the Effects menu in the main menu bar.
